Hand-turned bowls and vessels, shaped from salvaged and recycled timber — each one carrying the character of the tree it came from.

Every bowl starts as a piece of wood that would otherwise have been discarded — fallen roadside trees, orchard pruning, salvaged offcuts. I turn it by hand keeping as much of the wood's natural character as I can - the shape, the knots, the grain and even the cracks. No two pieces are ever the same, because no two trees ever were.

From functional bowls and platters through to more sculptural pieces, each one is turned on the lathe from a single piece of timber and finished by hand.

Wherever I can I try to work with sustainable and recycled timber — If you've got timber sitting around going to waste, I'd love to hear about it.
